Some talks in Tokyo…
As promised…here are some details about my upcoming talks in Tokyo.
I will be speaking on Tuesday, 12 June at 7 p.m. at the Foreign Correspondent’s Club of Japan in Yurakacho, as part of the “Book Break” series. As a former FCCJ member and board member…it is a great honor to have the chance to talk to colleagues and friends about the themes of my book, and the competitiveness challenges facing Japan.
I will also be speaking on Thursday 14 June at lunch to the American Chamber of Commerce, which will be meeting at the Tokyo American Club. I hope to discuss what the implications drawn from Shutting Out the Sun can offer in terms of opportunities for marketing, training and educational experiences.
I am also very much looking forward to speaking on Friday, 15 June to a Brown Bag Lunch at the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry about my book and its implications for government policies regarding competitiveness and globalization. I hope these talks will help stimulate some need conversation about the status of contemporary Japan.
